a good vintage of that particular brand should come in fruity with a bit of spice. I'd go closer to sweet, but it can be a bit almost peppery with a tingly after effect. It's also a little thicker than other reds. (a bad vintage otoh, is sort of like welch's mixed with soya sauce) If you get a chance, try out something from Pisoni wines. They don't make a bikaver as far as I know, but they do make some good stuff.

"Aliens? Vegetables? Nope, vegetable and animal bridge mushrooms. They're the myxomycetes, and they can move and hunt for prey or look for the best environment for them. They are born from spores, like mushrooms. Myxomycetes move like huge amoebas, like pulsating masses; their movements seem to be dependent on microfibrils that remember the fibers of the muscles. These "blobs′′ crawl (at a speed of 1 cm per hour) phagocusing bacteria, algae, yeasts, protozoa and other organic material as they go; they digest them and expel the remains outside. Not randomly, mixomycetes proliferate where there are plenty of prey - on decomposing logs or on carpets of dead, wet leaves. And so they're often found in the woods, yellow, purple, blue, red, thanks to the pigments they contain."

I was wondering how the star trek cruises were. I am familiar with cruises, and I love cons. Does the con fully occupy the cruise itinerary for the duration, or is it sort of a special group within the cruise and there are some events for them? I go to the occasional sci fi con and love my anime cons. Does the ship have do showings of certain movies in their theater space? Does it become like dragon con where the con hotels actually put forth their own designed ship media on the in room channels? I am wondering how much of the cruise ship becomes involved with the fan activities. One of the things I liked about going to dragoncon was more the adult end conversations and parties with the fans, along with a few special viewing events and panels. I figure a cruise will separate the unshowered masses and spazmatic stupid drunk fighting that goes on at convetions.
The Cruise is fully devoted to Trek. Star Trek on several of the in-cabin channels. Trek- themed trivia hosted by the celebrities. Redecorated areas of the ship. Two years ago they had a Picard- themed museum on board. Every night has some kind of film on the pool deck. My favorite? Denise Crosby each year leads a cimedic redubbing of a Trek episode. It's really fantastic. I can't recommend it enough. This year's departs from Miami and goes to Cancun and Belize. Go to the Star Trek cruise website, where they just put up literally hundreds of photos from last year's cruise. That'll give you a good idea of what it's like.
