TVs I'm not quite as sure of, but LCD Monitors yes:

It's only really monitors I worry about with ghosting. My Samsung TV is 8ms response time and I get no ghosting problems with my X360.

Although this ViewsonicTV doesn't get the best customer reviews, it boasts an 8ms GtG:

    Another 8ms GtG TV:

    Sharp 6ms Response:

TVs aren't really rated GtG as often, it is now just catching on.

Apart from image quality, I'm also concerned with power consumption, in which case CRT's are horrible. My 19" Iiyama monitor uses 3 times more than my 17" LCD. Actual screensize is almost identical. Does anyone have info on power consumption of plasma and rear projection?

O2C mentioned SED. Here's a link I found on it.

Toshiba and Canon have been evidently working on this for a while and have also had a press release on this looking to hit the markets in July of this year.

For image quality vs. price vs. bulk vs. convenience vs. my all-powerful left buttock, LCD is the winner.
