There really is only one, and that is PCSX2. The screenshots I've seen of it when it has been working are nothing short of amazing. It seems like the PS2 renders in high def then scales it down for output. The graphics running PS2 roms off PCSX2 look like HD graphics. But it really is not user friendly, and I've tried on two different GOOD computers to get it to work, with no success. Pity the guy who tries to get it to work on a laptop. There is no easy-to-read FAQ that details how to get roms to work or how to troubleshoot and find out what the hell is wrong. So in short, it sucks.
Hello friends I think that PS2 games look better than they have ever looked. They look better than the original Play-station 2 and they look better than the Play-station 3’s built-in emulator, available only earlier models. Why do PS2 games look better with PC emulation? Because you can use the power of your video card to render games at super-high resolutions. For instance, I’m currently playing Final Fantasy XII at 1920 x 1080 with x2 Anti-Alias at a steady 60-frames-per-second! It looks freaking sweet.
The problem with this is that it needs to emulate all the dedicated, specialised hardware of the PS2 by using software - that takes a hell of a lot more than it would if a PC was able to run PS2 stuff directly.
