I watched Fox News last night to see how they were covering the Y'all-Queda raid.
I could only stand 5 minutes.
Only 2 of that 5 was actual content, the rest was stupid fucking CGI American flag swooshes.

Look at it this way: A lot of people rush into those types of situations because they think that they'll be lauded as heroes. Instead, she found herself abandoned by the people who supported her cause and relentlessly mocked on social media. Those things might very well give others pause for thought about attempting a repeat of what she did. Her loved ones might be so disgusted at the reaction of the public that they opt to tell anyone else thinking of doing something so foolish to not do it.

After all, you expect to be mocked by those on the opposing side, but you don't expect those on your side to declare you a traitor who was secretly working for the "enemy." Potentially, what we saw this past week was a "dry-run" for a similar event in the future and I don't have a lot of faith that either the Trump or Biden administrations will take the necessary steps to prevent it from happening again. America has a bad habit of doing a bit of embarrassed throat-clearing and then trying to pretend that something didn't happen. The only thing that might prevent us from falling into dictatorship is that fewer people will opt to do something so stupid for fear of being mocked on social media.

I watch more than just Fox. But it's a moot point, Biden will shut down Fox or any other news source that doesn't fit the state approved "narrative" soon enough. It's for our own good of course!

I think we should keep a running list of @oldfella1962 predictions. Here's two that I'm certain will come true.

Thoughtful, but let's be realistic. After Wednesday every conservative or Republican will be mocked & ridiculed on social media even more than they are, and sadly the totally batshit crazy/bag o' hammers stupid like the woman who was shot will be mocked and ridiculed by everybody. All the Capitol rioters will be absolutely DESPISED by us non-liberals (like myself) because now we will be treated with suspicion and vilified because of these crazies. Already we are being identified and singled out by the private companies and employers, so it won't be long until the government (especially under Democratic control) starts doing it too.

So here is what I think might play out (but I hope I'm wrong) - after a while some non-liberals might figure that they have nothing to lose because the deck is stacked against them, they have no voice
and the Biden regime does not want their input and ideas, they just want them gone.
If the non-liberals feel they are surrounded on all sides by the court of public opinion , the media and big tech it's not good. Factor in liberties limited or denied and food taken out of their mouths and it could very ugly, very fast.

That said in the short term I hope nothing crazy happens involving the Biden inauguration or if it does it's nipped in the bud with a quickness.
