^I think CD correctly guessed that one too... before he edited his post. And the game Darkening posted is Elite.
Agreed, but google-fu says the dots look like an AvP crosshair and the message is consistent with finding something/being found while using the crosshair in the dark. I guess we'll have to wait . . .
Nobody's really gotten close. Admittedly, a black screen, three eyes, and a sentence is only slightly harder than an Atari game.
If it's a PS@ RPG, it's none that I've played. Is this at the beginning of the game, or the ending? Because if it's the ending, I can probably count the number on one hand the PS2 RPGs I've actually finished.
Damn it looks familiar but my memory is shot from to much pot. I want to say Metal Gear, but I'm not sure.
Hmm... I know a lot of PS2 RPGs as well, and all I can think is that this one has to fall somewhere in the Shin Megami Tensei series... It can't be one of the Nippon Ichi strateRPGs, because I've played all of those except for La Pucelle Tactics, but that wouldn't have text on the screen that way- all speech in those games has a dialogue window and Anime avatars slightly animated to the context of their speach.
Sorry Lethe, you're going to have to give us something more than three red dots from some obscure in-game clip or FMV. I suppose someone could list all the PS2 RPGs, then ask, "Is it one of these LOL???" The point of this was to see if you could figure out what game it was based on the gameplay screenshots. I didn't think someone would go and post an FMV.
Remember when FMVs were amazing? Getting to that next CGI segment was worth the hour or three of gameplay preceding it... now we, or rather the new gen of gamers is spoiled. Their entire games look better than our old FMVs.
Appears to be an Active Battle System type RPG- my reasoning is that you wouldn't normally still see the map in a trun based combat RPG. I'm not really making much headway as far as guessing, but I'm beginning to rethink my estimation about Shin Megami Tensei- the art style is a bit more "childish". Something in the "Tales of ________" series perhaps.... Note: I'm not just trying to spam this up, I've got no idea so I'm talking out what I'm sure it is not to help goad the rest of you into a correct answer.
Fantasy Star Online? Never played it but I used to watch a cousin of mine play, maybe that's why those three dots look familiar. Anyway, this is going to bug me until someone gets it.
