I'm thinking of buying a used XBox 360 off eBay as a sort of housewarming present for myself. But I'm unsure about a few things. Hopefully some XBox owners can help me. 1.) If I get an XBox Live account, can it be attached to a preowned XBox? 2.) If the previous owner did some questionable stuff with his XBox Live account and was banned on that specific XBox, does that mean the console itself is banned permanently from the service, or will (assuming you can) attaching a new account to the console clear any questionable history associated with the console? Or do bans just apply to the account, not the console ID?
You can make a new xboxlive account or move one from your old system to the new one. Moved mine from my Xbox 1 to the x360 with no probs. If the console has been modded in anyway it might be banned from live
There is a small rumor that refurbished 360's can be one that was permanently banned. The 360 is banned now, not just the user. I guess that is what darkening said anyway.
Aye, a 360 console can be permanently banned from the online services. Honestly, I wouldn't touch a second hand 360 with a ten foot pole. There are so many chances for a hardware problem that you really want to know you have the warranty there.
