So, I just got back from this double date. We were originally gonna go bowling but the lanes were all full so after a couple drinks we decided to just go watch a movie.

The girls wanted to watch Primeval because they'd heard it was pretty scary. Not having heard of the movie before, I gave in and we bought our tickets.

Now, I'm wishing I could get my 8 dollars (16 actually because I paid for my girl's ticket!) and those two hours back.

The movie is marketed as being 'based on the true story of a prolific serial killer'. VERY MISLEADING!

It's actually about some killer crocodile... or maybe it was about some African warlord terrorizing the countryside? I dunno. The movie couldn't seem to decide.

One minute the movie is 'Anaconda' and the next minute it's 'Hotel Rwanda.' The only good thing about the movie was Orlando Jones in the comedic role but that wasn't nearly enough to sustain my interest.

It's telling when I can pull out my cell phone and start talking to someone in the middle of a movie and nobody bothers to tell me to shut it off. Most of the people in the theatre seemed to be talking or playing with their cell phones anyway.

I think this is the last time I let the girls decide what movie we see.
