One of my AF buddy's dads was in the Navy and he was stationed at one of those far out islands - pure hell.

I have $20 that says that is fake.

My Grandma used to send lippy junior officers there.

But the object on the shelf is definitely not the same as the one on the right. The top is shaped completely different.

I was hoping you'd weigh in on this. I'll trust your expert eye over the Usual Suspects any day.

It very well could be something similiar to the racist figurine on the right. The object is too small in the frame to tell exactly what it is.

I HATE when that happens! Actually similar things happened when my son was a combat medic. Guys would turn around and pull down their pants to avoid getting yelled at for not moving fast enough even before he said a word to them. He would just calmly put the needle in their shoulder and not say a word, letting them figure out where things went so wrong.
