1.go to www.google.com

2.click on maps

3.click on get directions

4.go from "new york" to "paris, france"

5.scroll down in the directions to number 23

6.laugh

And yet it still can't get me directions to Mono Lake.

It's the same if you ask for directions to London.

It can't calculate driving directions to Cuba, Zimbabwe, Beijing, or Sydney

microsofts road guide had a doozy a couple of years back, you asked for directions between two norwegian towns a few miles apart and it directed you to take a route that involved a ferry to scotland, driving down through the UK, a ferry to france and then driving through france, germany, denmark and yet another ferry to norway...

I saw that a couple weeks back. It's interesting that the directions from North America all go through Boston. I'd rather make the swim from Halifax or some slightly closer location.
