Sometimes it just refuses to let you put in the comment you want. I tried repping Cass with the same comment about 10 times, trying various posts of hers, and it just wouldn't take. I repped her with no comment and it worked fine.
Yeah, I toyed with it, and I figured out there's a new cap on the message length. It can only be as long as the very edge of the blank, if not a couple character shorter.
That's not it. I've left way longer ones since then. The one I was trying over and over was only a few words, and I've left ones that ended up being 3 or 4 lines since then. Maybe the rep gods are punishing me for being too greedy.
I am trying to rep Summerteeth in the above post and it won't let me. I would click 'add to reputation' and it wouldn't do anything. (Yes, I made sure to give her a positive.) I would then sit there for the next minute mashing on the button to no avail. I could rep Mrs. Albert just fine though, and I could neg rep Darkening without problems.
The problem, I think, is that Darkening is STILL RED, even if they set it back to what it was before. It seemed he pissed off a group of people that then decided to take matters into their own hands and bomb him into the red. He then asked to be set to maximum red. So if they set him hack to his original score, it would still be red and he still wouldn't be allowed to play games. Being not allowed to play games if you are red is a stupid idea. I am guessing it's one of those features that can't be turned off, or Nick and/or that other unknown technical admin would've done so by now.
Not sure who it was that declared rep war on him, (Storm?) but if he got reset back into the green, what would stop someone from hitting him again until he was red? Then we'd be facing the same problem again. This is why, if possible, we need to make it so people in the red can still play the arcade.
Darkening was upped from a very large negative number, to -999, if I'm not mistaken, which is just above some hardwired limit in the arcade, I think. If he can't play now, it's because either something else has screwed up, or he's been negged below -1000.
I am still not able to give certain posters rep. What's going on? Have those posters been blacklisted or is something more sinister is going?
Sometimes the rep box takes a few seconds to pop up. Sometimes it doesn't. I sense a conspiracy. Yes, teh ebil modz. Actually, I have no idea. But it is very annoying.
