    There have already been too occasions where not paying attention I have gone to quote someone and accidentally hit the edit button, not realising that I was in fact editing the other persons original post until I wondered why the submit post button had move and repeatedly hit the back button in a panic. :)

    Worse is when you hit edit instead of quote and don't realize it until you're halfway through rebutting it.
