It's been a few weeks since I've posted anything in this blog. Shit hasn't been good lately, dealing with a lot of crap. My mom isn't happy since she moved, so I'm trying to deal with that, my sister and brother in law are getting a divorce. She decided to drop a bomb since I last posted.

For the last 18 months she's been saying and pretending to work on her marriage, but she finally came out and said that she's in love with someone else and has been for the last 18 months. So she's been lying to everyone, especially her husband. He's devastated and he feels closer to me than he does his family. So he's been talking to me a lot. He's angry, hurt, crushed, he finally told his parents about a week ago, and I'm the only one he's talked to or said anything to up until then.

Well yeah, lot of shit beyond that too. Yesterday started off shitty, got worse.

And then last night, as I mentioned I saved the life of a stranger. I got on Omegmle, but really couldn't find anyone to take the bait. So I was going to log off, and then started a chat with a with a nineteen year old girl. Didn't really talk about much, but then it changed to how people can feel like outcasts. She talked about starting college classes when she was in 9th grade. And while she felt it was good for her, she felt like an outcast even more because of it. She mentioned that she found it hard to relate to kids her age in school, and to those in her college classes. She started early at her university but still feels like an outcast there. So we talked, I mentioned that everyone goes through that, told her about the times I felt like one, and what I took from it and how I dealt with it.

When we said goodnight, she finished off with this exchange:

Stranger: Sweetie
Stranger: I must admit
Stranger: I appreciate
Stranger: knowing that there are people in the world who I can relate to...
Stranger: I have been contemplating suicide for sometime now
Stranger: I was going to do it tonight, but now I know that there really is hope.
Stranger: everything will be ok in the end..
Stranger: Thank you

Stranger: You may not believe this, but I'm actually 16 at the moment.. Still in college. Still the out cast... but because of you, I don't have to worry about being an outcast all of my life. I now realize that it will eventually subdue, and that there are people who can relate... I know that you may not want to talk to me anymore because of my age, but I really do appreciate you talking to me tonight. Thank you, You really did save me...

She then apologized for telling me she was nineteen at first, but all she was getting were guys looking for cyber sex over Skype, MSN or KIK. And that she had gotten really depressed and really upset and suicidal at that point. We chatted for about 2 hours, but I only put what I felt was relevant enough on here.

I did give her my email address before what I quoted above, and she did email me after logging off and again this morning thanking me and telling me she woke with a smile for the first time in a while.

Still, above anything. I'm still glad I was able to make a difference in someone's life, enough so that they decided not to take their own life.

Lanzman gave an in-thread warning to Uncle Albert for a nearly identical incident yesterday. So I'd agree this merits a warning.
