An excellent animated Star Wars series. first began as a series of short Star Wars filmss set in the era of the Clone Wars, between Ep II and III. It deals with the events Anakin and Obi Wan Kenobi experienced during the Clone Wars and the battles they were involved in. It comes in two volumes on DVD, and you get to see many of the JEdi in action that you didn't see during the movies.

For example, you get to see Mace Windu and Kip's fighting against the separatist's droid armies and the awesomeness that is MAce Windu in action.

You get to see the actual fight to against General Grievou's kidnapping of the Supreme Chancellor.

And when the series ends it ends right where Ep III begins: at the invasion of Coruscant.

I find it a very well done independent series for Star Wars, done by the same people who did Samuri Jack. George Lucas was so impressed that he invited them to a private screening of Ep III.

I give this work an A.

A+ definitely. Hell, I enjoyed parts of it more than the real Eps. I-III.

A big question I always had was why was General Grieveous such a badass in the cartoon, and then he ends up losing a 1 vs 1 match to Obi-Wan.

Then a friend pointed out that
Which is why he had that coughing problem at the beginning of Eps III.

If you like the cartoon, definitely check out the graphic novels. Star Wars Clone Wars Adventures.

Clone Wars really should have been the second movie. Get rid of Phantom Menace, make Attack of the Clones be Episode I, then make Clone Wars be Episode II. I mean, all the different chapters put together is about 130 minutes. I'm sure they could expand on that and make it into a feature film.

Plus, no Jar Jar or Jake Lloyd. "Yippee!"

Clone Wars was awesome. So was Samurai Jack and Dexter's Lab.

    Tartovsky is a genius.

EDIT: My son is currently netflixing his way through Samurai Jack. He called me to watch the second episode featuring 'The Scotsman' because he knows I'm a Scotland nut. We laughed our ASSES off through that entire ep. Especially when the Scotsman's 'bonny' wife appears...
