I always really liked him on 'Coach.' Sad loss. I wish his brother had shared his immortality potion with him.

Some of the funniest stuff on television involved his interactions with Hayden (Craig T. Nelson). My wife always wanted us to name our son Hayden if we ever had one. Though I wanted to spell it "Haden".

Well damn. Jerry's "Luther" was the best thing about Coach. May he rest in peace. :(

The episode where Luther had a one night stand with Hayden's elderly secretary after her retirement party led to what was to me one of the all time great comedic exchanges in television.

Luther is embarrassed and seems to brush off the woman the next morning when she drops by the coaches offices to pick something up. After she leaves...

Hayden: "Luther, you can't just sleep with a woman and walk away the next day like nothing happened!"

    Luther: "You used to."

Hayden: "Luther that was entirely different"

"I didn't know any of those women"
    "They weren't friends"
"And I never used my real name".
