Aw, shit. I was just thinking Pattinson Batman's look is based on his stuff. The basic silhouette of it, anyway.
I started reading Batman when I was very little (just at the end of Adams' run), and, even before I really thought about art, I knew that I loved Adams' portrayal of the character. Everyone and everything in Adams' world looked like it could actually exist. His work gave me my love for realism. I knew he was getting up there, and I'd had the thought not too long ago that he'd probably not be with us very much longer, but, damn, this one still hurts.
Definitely one of the most iconic depictions of DC characters and the ones I mostly grew up with. A legend in his own time.
