At least... that's what my gut says. A convoy of 63 military trucks without identification marks have appeared in Donetsk, some carrying heavy machine guns and two carrying rocket launchers. This, combined with the sudden show of strength in the air, the rebel elections and Russia's message they will recognise election results, must be be Russia's way of saying: we're ending this conflict, don't get in the way, Europe. What do you think? -edit- maybe that, was this: http://ukraineinvestigation.com/convoy-russian-military-technology-makiivka-way-donetsk-video/
The Russian Army has been in Luhansk and Donetsk for months, now. They're not even bothering to disguise themselves now. They'll start an offensive after the "elections".
i'm more shocked by how people around me react to all that. you know, NATO is the actual aggressor, the EU helps stir the pot and whatnot. a few years ago all those conspiracy theories were somewhere at the fringe of the internet, now such beliefs are completely acceptable among the intelligenzja. some of them are even unclear if IS are a bunch of child beheading fucktards or just misunderstood and justifiedly angry because israel exists or something. US bombs on them? imperialism!
Sorry, to troll you need a little bit more effort than that. And for a serious discussion, an explanation would help get things started.
The people who took over in the Ukrainian coup following the Maidan protests were in large part legit Neo-Nazis. Actual Hitler-worshipping open-about-it fascist Neo Nazis. They made no secret of their hatred of Slavs and Russians. One of the first things they tried to do upon taking power was pass a law that would have banned the Russian language. Fortunately this failed. And through all of this, the US supported them! The western media just lied through their teeth, either directly or by omission, letting westerners know nothing, via their official media channels, of the fascist overthrow in Kiev and their own government's support for real actual Neo Nazis. You can't expect that kinda shit to happen and not have consequences.
No. There are some neo-Nazi groups which were involved (most noteably the group Right Sector) but they are not in any positions of power in the government. Putin has tried to use this whole "they are the Nazis reborn" troupe but no one outside of idiots and fools has believed it because it is provably not true. Also, Ukrainians are slavs so, no, even their right wing doesn't hate all slavs. They are nationalists who feel their country has been abused and dominated by Russia so they really don't like Russia but that does not mean they hate all slavic people. Also, you'll notice they were the ones who voted down the ultra nationalists who wanted to make Ukrainian the sole language of state in the country so it is weird you call them Nazis then point out how the far right's effort got voted down.
Stop watching Russian State News for your information, Huilo. It makes you look even dumber than you already are, which is surprising.
We see this silliness in America as well. I fear that the world at large is slumbering through time and one day we are going to be tossed out bed and saying, "What the fuck?" because a big bloody war is going to on and running.
Well, the Russian nuclear strikes will take out our health care facilities just as they were getting swamped with both Ebola patients and children crippled from EV-68 (that the illegals brought in), and ISIS will use the chaos as an opportunity to strike at American synagogues, while black folks burn down their own churches because the pews got contaminated with Ebola. Meanwhile the nations electric grid will collapse because we've put too many coal plants offline, leaving us in the dark - with Ebola - and surrounded by ISIS decapitation squads. So I'm buying stock in Lowe's, Home Depot, and Glock.
Modern life guilt. We live comfortable lives and therefore it's all our fault. No logic behind it, just the gestalt equivalent of that gnawing feeling you've left the telly on when you're at the airport about to fly someplace, only these days we've social media and blogs to give it form. "The government/Israel/big business/military can be cunts some of the time, ergo they're cunts all of the time" is the resulting groupthink.
