We don't need nor want the FBI's scrutiny because someone simply posted an opinion while venting.
If it was something the staff felt that needed action, we'd do so.

 

I think we all agree (and have said) it was a dick move by him and some action was justified. Some folks are questioning if a perma ban was the best course of action when a temp ban could have gotten the point across just as well and not cost the board one of its few new members. We are trying to increase the number of posters not decrease them, remember?

 

I better not get SWAT-ed over such a lame half-effort post.

I pride myself on my humor, and the painstaking effort I put into my creativity, if I seriously wanted to threaten stupid dumbass Trump, I would have made it way funnier.

 

On that I agree. Not a single person here, not even the guy who claims to have made the FBI Tip Report, actually believes you did anything more than make a joke so there was absolutely no creditable threat to the President. He was just being a cowardly S.O.B..

Ithink his actions were wrong and that he definitely deserved some form of punishment (as I have repeatedly said); where I disagree is with the appropriateness of the chosen punishment when a temp ban along with a warning to not be such a dick again probably would have been more than sufficient. Our current group of mods seem to be an echo chamber so it would probably be good to retire a few of the less active, not really as useful, ones and bring in a couple of new ones to bring a bit more balance. That would be healthy for the place an prevent unnecissary whitling down of poster numbers, especially posters with unpopular opinions, and help fulfill the original free speech intents of this place.

 

Look, I can't go in a lot of details out here in the open, but the fact of the matter is that this board cannot tolerate ANYTHING that could bring FBI scrutiny. The rest will be behind spoiler tags so it doesn't get out.

 

I don't get it. Why the secrecy? Why the claims of hidden information? As long as you have been on the up and up and have not done something illegal then why play these sorts of games?

If it is a money issue then even I can chip in though I would demand some changes in moderation to bring the place back to its original free speech goals.

 

You aren't sharing a server with certain (Ten Lubak affliated) private websites which do break the law, are you?
