I think it's fine to make him do community service and leave him off the sex offender list. He was drunk at a bar, not sober at a traffic stop. Drunk people do stupid shit and ruining their lives for just touching the wrong thing is pretty dumb.

I didn't like the judge's comments though. :jayzus:

FUCK............THAT! You wear a badge (yes he actually did this FLASHING HIS BADGE to get in free as a perk of the job) and damn well better behave at least to the standards of normal decency. If that were any of us we'd be put on the sex offender list. Imagine if some perv does that to your family member and you confront the cop - your ass would be put UNDER the jail.

I'm no angel, and really have no problem with a cop "wetting his beak" by getting free stuff from a business, because having a cop around is free security. Wait - having a sober, decent cop around is good. It's a level of common sense everyone who wears a uniform is aware of. It's a grey area, we're all human. But if you do something you wouldn't do if you couldn't get away with it being a civilian....something that could get your ass beat or worse....you should think twice.

Sorry, but in a decent law enforcement/community service atmosphere this cop would be fired at a minimum, and yes, put on the sex offenders list.

I hope the cop and judge get the level of respect they deserve from the public from here on out.......fucking zero. I hope they get publicly humiliated at every turn. I hope they both piss off the wrong person and get sued into bankruptcy.

The judge has since apologized. During elections, Floridians can decided whether or not to keep appointed judges to their seats. I hope Arizona has the same procedure.

The police officer should be skinned.

    Wow... Just, wow... :jayzus:

Sorry, but as a cop, he's held to a higher standard, so he should do the time, and end up on the list - a list a lot of people a lot less deserving than him end up on all the time, like that kid in Georgia who got on there for getting a blow-job.

I didn't catch where in Arizona this was. Regardless, wherever you are there are thousands of square miles of wilderness where they would never, ever find someone who met upon.....misfortune. Just sayin'

Bad things happen in bars more than other places.
