So the last season of the She-Ra reboot aired and this happen Glad to see kids get to see this stuff on TV today @Amaris @Tererun
My Facebook feed is full of ads for some Disney+ short that appears to be about Maggie Simpson having a romantic date with another baby. But no, it's the gays pushing their sexual agenda onto the children.
They actually might not be. When the Voltron reboot ended a year and a half ago with the Sven character (re-christened to Shiro in homage to his Japanese anime name) marrying a guy onscreen, the anger was overwhelmingly from fans who were mad that it wasn't Keith he wedded (he and Keith were especially close in this version and there's a whole ass story behind Shiro's cya wedding.) The anti SJWs were already big mad because none of the characters were women with giant tiddies and impractical skimpy outfits. Fuck 'em.
Excellent! Within 24 hours or so of Harley Quinn finally going gay for Ivy. Which was long overdue, but also so very, very well done.
Yeah, you're right. Come to think of it, the televangelists routine is to project gayness onto benign things like Tinky Winky and Sponge Bob.
Goody, I was running out of shit to watch while CR was getting on with the new season. Of course I was hoping for something more like some robot orgies with entrapta and some of the other cast. Then while yhey were all messing around then Swift Wind could come in and make me snarf COVID all over the laptop with his comments and possibly some allicorn participation. An orgy with the wisecracking in the show would just make me wet myself. Someone has got to get the bronie crew on this series.
They really dont come after shit like this because creators like Noelle Stevenson (the creator of "Lumberjanes" which was Peak Gay right before this series) don't give a shit and make it obvious where they stand. They imprint on bland shit they can bend to their own will and interpretations. Can't misinterpret a cat lady making out with the girl space knight.
I don't think She-ra is even on their radar. Powerful strong female shows tend to get avoided for male lead shows or something that involves shopping and dating as things girls do. They have probably already blocked out a lot of CN and other cartoon networks for Disney princesses and shows. Netflix is probably something they do not want in their house anyway because it has no concern for their religious prudity. She-ra is probably blocked by the kid's filter on netflix anyway. Like you said they can bend disney to their will with threats. The only thing they would end up doing by going after she-ra is point out to a lot of people we should check this shit out. The first thing that would happen if they bitched about it would be their kids would rush to see it on their phones, friend's phones, or any house that does not fully limit their kid's viewing. It would be the best thing that happened to the show. Remember when everyone flipped out over MLP? That was one of the reasons most people went out and watched it. All of a sudden boys were watching it, and then other boys had to see what it was about, and it hooked a ton of men with stories of adventure that were not about shopping and dating. Lots of people who got hooked on it said they watched it first to make fun of it.
Probably on rule34.com for one I haven't gone looking for this, but I figure that might be a good spot. That or wherever Volpone dug up Nazi pony porn to troll Amaris with
The nazi pony porn I had seen before. Some people find the juxtoposition of fascist friendship to not only be amusing, but sometimes how certain popular groups treat their friendship. Though some "friend" groups are not as powerful as the Nazis, we can be glad because they would commit genocide if they had real power. Also, if you really look at the equestria power structure there may be a reason ponies always have to be happy and nice. Discord could not stand up to the be nice or die of equestria. Whenever he got out of line they pretty much threatened his life, and he was Q for all intents and purposes. Those ponies did not screw around with Q type beings. They beat the crap out of him, turned him to stone, and then let him out under penalty of kicking his ass out of their realm. They also did not have any prime directive either because whenever the equestrians came upon some other group it was join us or we will kick your ass. They even got away with destroying native people like deer and cows. You don't even want to know what they did to dragons. There is only 2 donkeys in the whole series for some reason. Friendship is fascism is a way to look at the series. Just ask Luna. Used to be knightmare moon until Twilight kicked her ass. OK, I have made this argument in some places before, but there is a dark side to the ponies.
Now that I am watching it, they have been sort of playing to this sort of thing all along. It is one of the really good things the series does is just keep that adora and catra friend/love thing going. You know they are special to each other. Also along those lines they do have other relationships which are obviously a bit more romantic going on. It seems like when the whole series sort of allows for this sort of thing to go on without any real restrictions the people with a problem with it can tune it out of their universe. To a certain extent i sort of understand they are trying to present their children with the view that they think is best. It is the people that they trust who have really brought the hate into it. It is really ironic that the best way to penetrate the hate is to act more the way the all loving and forgiving jesus would do. Maybe way back when the people who really understood it put that message into the jesus mythology because that would be the key to getting to the people who were in the cults and under the control of bad people. If anyone studies scientology the same system is actually written into the tone scale they use. The more controlled and positive your tone the more a scientologist is supposed to feel free to engage with you. Of course, certain people in that religion don't like that. It is funny how some things open a way in for a person who can keep from reacting badly.
The fact that this is even a "thing" tells me everything I need to know about the current state of humanity (and why I'm pessimistic about our future). It's a fucking cartoon, folks. In case you haven't looked out your window, we've got a pretty big problem to deal with right now.
*Checks to see if this is Red Room* Nope...it's Media Central. WAB pretty much has to cluck his tongue about the existence of Media Central itself to not be a hypocrite here....
You dummies completely misunderstand what I'm talking about and where my post was directed. I'm talking about the people who are complaining about a same sex kiss. You're just as guilty for overreacting as the assholes you're bitching about. P.S. - anime is gay anyway.
Starting a sentence with "The fact that this is even a 'thing'..." is universally code for someone being an asshole. There were better ways to phrase that which don't make you look like Flashy. Still, I'll take back my statement then.
Personally, I was never into He-Man or She-Ra anyway. Filmation's art and animation styles always seemed so lacking . . .
Animation's a brutal business. Filmation skimped like crazy, but they were able to put out a million shows. Rankin & Bass refused to skimp, but they only had 3 shows in the 80's (two of them Thundercats clones). Neither of them exist anymore. Anyone who isn't Warners or Disney is dead. Hell, Hanna Barbera would have winked out of existence if they hadn't rolled the dice on Cartoon Network, and gotten Warners to buy them. Conversely, anime got so good in the 90's because of Japan's economic boom. Long way of saying, being an elitist snob of animation makes you social Darwinist, and bitching about the forces that cause bad animation reveals you've got a little commie in ya. Which are you?
Filmation also did Star Trek: The Animated Series using the exact same techniques, only with better art and a bit more attention to how they were doing the limited animation, and it's leaps and bounds better quality than He-Man or She-Ra. It's not the company, Dickynoo, it's the individual product. Filmation has done some good work, but they've also done shit work.
TAS made very copious use of reused footage, just like every other Filmation production. TAS was obviously superior in every other way to He-Man or She-Ra, but saying TAS had better animation is provably false.
FTR, the reboot and the Voltron one were both produced by DreamWorks, which has been catching up to both Warner and Disney in the animation department. But animation definitely is not cheap, you're right.
Sailor moon put out 40 episodes a season back in the day when everything was hand drawn. There is probably a reason why the animation was a bit sloppy and each episode had about ten minutes worth of the same transformation scene and recycled animation. And for @We Are Borg the new She ra is dreamworks along with netflix, and it is american so it is not anime. If you ever walk by a weaboo they will knife a bitch for that sort of confusion and completely maul the culture of Japan over your dead body. Just a warning so you don't get hurt. Some of those anime fans make star wars and MCU fanbois look relaxed.
