I dunno if anyone here was confused on this, but Disney has clarified "The Book Of Boba-Fett" is its own series, not a renaming of Mandalorian season 3, or a replacement for Mandalorian.
"Rangers Of The New Republic" is shelved. Strong indication this was probably the Gina Carano spinoff. https://www.cbr.com/star-wars-rangers-of-the-new-republic-not-development/
Course, if it hinged on Cara Dune, and Cara Dune was just a Mandalorian character, just give us a new Mandalorian chick to love next season, and give Rangers to her. Get a chick from Farscape or Stargate or somebody that the fanboys already dig. Easy-peasy. Or, screw New Republic, give Bo-Katan a show. I'd much rather watch Katee Sackhoff.
Looks like Dave Filoni is going to use The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, and Rangers of the New Republic to move the canon storyline to match with the Timothy Zhan books. Obviously, there will be changes - the last three movies Luke wasn't married, and Leia and Han just had the one child - which was not any of the three from the Zhan books. Anyway, I just hope they don't make Ezra Bridges the template for the C'baoth clone.
I'd rather they'd built Rangers around Hera and Carson Teva, which'd allow them to work in more of the "what's up with Mandolore and Bo Katan/Sabine?" stories. (Also get Andrew Phung a couple of gigs as he and Paul Lee are hilarious together) The whole thing could've been 90s X-Men like with interwoven storylines. As for Ezra, he's my bet on who will wind up teaching Grogu and creating a new, non jedi jedi school with Ahsoka.
That's more like what I was thinking for the path of Ezra. Not really fighting, but supporting the rebellion and the new republic passively. I'd love to see more Hera and Bo Katan/Sabine storylines.
I'm gonna go long term that they (Ahsoka and Ezra) eventually help with Luke founding his academy, but his idealized version of the order doesn't work for either of them and they bail.
definitely no confirmation I doubt anyone is gonna have her back at this point... her current project is not only non union, but she's also mouthing off about the union. ain't nobody making a show with her if they can't get a crew.
I anxiously await her inevitable horrible Trump-sucking Christian movie to get sliced to paper thin wafers on God Awful Movies.
Star Wars Spinoff Rangers of the New Republic Is Super Dead, Was Barely Alive Apparently, it never got past the, "Yeah, we should do a show" phase.
If they did that, then nothing in Hollywood would ever be announced. Hollywood is the original "fake it til you make it" place. People constantly announce that they're "doing a deal" with someone they've never actually spoken to simply because by doing so they can get a meeting with that person to pitch the idea to them. Or because they know that it'll create buzz around the idea, and folks with money will decide that they have to get in on it. The whole concept is hugely ripe for parody, and if I could find someone who knows enough of the names of current celebs to work with me on it, I'd be able to put one out that would probably get optioned by Hollywood because it so nailed the whole mindset.
gonna go to my grave saying they missed a chance not replacing her with Paul Lee. Dude is a card carrying member of the 501st-perfect balance of him working with Bill "IDGAF about Star Wars" Burr.
Rogue Squadron is back on, and Patty Jenkins is back on board for it. She was supposed to do Wonder Woman 3 first, but DC kept delaying, delaying, delaying, (like a Trump court case ) then the strike happened, then James Gunn took his sweet la-de-da time confessing that WW3 was dead, so now she's finally free, and can go back to Star Wars. She read all the novels for homework, which is good, because those books are beloved. Basically, Rogue Squadron was (novel era) Star Wars's Deep Space Nine. Before there was Bad Batch, there was Rogue Squadron. https://www.darkhorizons.com/jenkins-back-on-rogue-squadron-film/
*Skims the wiki for the books* 3 boys, 3 girls. 4 boys counting Wedge, but he's more of an instructor.
