Should we give the religious right what they want and include their texts in science class?

Hear me out. Some of the things you learn in science is the process of experimentation and proof. You learn about peer review, evidence, and the establishment of a theory over hypothesis or story.

If you want the bible creation ideas discussed as options to evolution and scientific theories about the history of the universe? Let us do this shit for the kids. No really, pull the fucking bible out and in science class discuss the realities of the bible, how the ideas inside were created, and how it was compiled into the historical document that it was. Then compare the history of science and how science concluded how the universe was formed, and all of the experiments, math, and testing they have done.

Why are we shying away from this shit? Why is science not just saying bring it into class around elementary school to middle school where it belongs. History class also can examine what evidence and science shows happens compared to what the writers of the bible claim way back when.

We do not even need to have the science teacher demand conclusions. You can believe whatever one you want to, but you just have to be able to know what the options are.

Let it into class and give them what they want. Teach our kids how to think and evaluate the truth for themselves and present them this evidence in their youth when we are explaining the difference between what people think and what actually is.

The whole "teach both theories" thing is fake compromise until they get what they want, which is NO science.

All experiments fall apart the second we get "well, God did it and he's not subject to X" where X is a law of physics.

The strange thing is, as far as I can see, really decent private christian schools do teach science well which seems to cause their graduates to be more the type to not take the bible literally .The problem areas seem more to be whitewashing history and sex education.

College-Christians are that brand of fundie that cherry-pick what they hate about modernity.
Sexual permissiveness pisses them off, but they need just enough tech to keep that Military Industrial Complex going.
Full-blown Dayton/TLS fundies hate modernity period.

As the teacher you don't have to stop teaching the actual physics. Let us say the argument that the world is 6000 years old. As the educator you familiarize yourself with the biblical material and places where it establishes age. You pointy out things like how people lived for almost a thousand years and get into all the genesis shit. Here is the time to expose a person to critical thinking. Then you say god poofed all these people into being because he is magic and this is how the rules were established according to this book. Then this is what scientists did and how they did it.

You have to teach it when we are teaching how science works. That is when you put experiments in front of them and show them some science videos about carbon dating machines, archeology, the formation of planets, the solar system and how we observe the universe from atom to galaxy clusters. That is when you put it to the children that the dude who heard this from god did not have any of this equipment or a lot of this knowledge.

If the kid cannot figure it out at that point that is when society should look at them and tell them interesting stories. If they chose the bible over science great. we have plenty of places in entertainment and philosophy for you. We are not letting you run our science things, and we are going to use sciency things to fix the mess we made and not make new messes while we wait for your god to answer our calls and clean shit up with his magic.

They are not hard to corral, we just need to get command of the reigns from the greedy. Really happy sheeple are actually logically positive for those who rule them.

Yeah, but the actual intelligent kids do not get duped when presented with the bullshit. We really have to relegate god into entertainment and not fact. We also have to recognize a large percentage of the population gravitates towars believing religious stories as more true than fact because god did it. This is a deliniation society needs to make to evolve. The god filter might actually be one of the best tools we have when what we are trying to filter out is really gullibility, stupidity, toxic masculinity, greed, and cruelty.

I do not want to ban religion. I want to use it as a test of intelligence.
