The shuttle launched a couple of hours ago, seemingly succesfully. But I heard a problem was discovered that NASA is now checking out. Hopefully, it can be repaired, if not.. things might get complicated. I just woke up, have no more info than this, but I'll look for it. What you see is a hole in th engine pod, or so I was told.

Would it hurt to wash the tiles once.

If you touch one of those tiles, the oil on your skin ruins it.

NASA Guy: Now Pepe, remember when you're washing this strip of tiles, you have to use the XJ-23B cleaning solvent. Not the XJ-24B though. And only on this strip that goes from tile number GHT-78992 to GHT-78997. Use a clockwise motion and the special YTT-103A442 coth to clean it. Any questions?

    Pepe: No, senor.
