Smilies

No smilie manager page on the admin panel? I see that they all made it over, but does anyone know if there's a way to organize them again?

It's under the Home tab. You go to "Smilie Categories," create whatever categories you like, and then go to "Smilies," click on the smilies you want to add to a specific category, and then choose "Update Category" to organize them.

The home tab on my admin panel is blank and I can't go to the home tab on the regular page.....only the forum tab and the members tab.

I'm not sure why your Home tab is blank, Mrs. A. Your permissions in the Admin panel are the same as mine, so that's odd that you have nothing displaying. What browser are you using?

IE. Also I get booted out and have to re sign in every time I try ti go to the home tab on the main page of wordforge (not the admin panel).

Maybe IE is buggy, or it could be unrelated, but I opened IE and I couldn't even log in. Do you have another browser you could try? Maybe Firefox or Chrome?

Just tried in Firefox....same issue. Home tab on wordforge refuses. It alternates between keeping me on the forum page and logging me out completely. Admin home tab is blank.

That's weird. I wish I had an answer for you, Mrs. A.

Have you tried Chrome? If I use Opera, I can read the boards just fine, but if I try to make a post, I. h.a.v.e. t.o. w.a.i.t. a.f.t.e.r. e.v.e.r.y. l.e.t.t.e.r. is typed before it'll show up. I don't have that problem, even on a box running XP.

All of the smilies have been put in the categories like they were before...just a couple issues:

Whenever someone has time, if they can walk me through how to add smilies, I will add the few that are missing. I mean...I know how to click the "add smilie" button...but I don't know where the "image replacement URL" comes from or how to upload those few from my computer.

side note...do we not have the picture albums feature anymore? if i'm not seeing it, can someone direct me? and if we don't have it yet, is that a feature we could add back on? it was pretty handy.

You need to place the URL for where the image file is located. I'm not sure how to upload files to http://www.wordforge.net/images/smilies/, but presumably somebody else uploaded most of them in one shot.

The smilies have to be uploaded to the host server, and then you can add and modify the smilies.

Yeah, somehow :attentionwhore: and :lookatme: ended up with images that used the same name differing only in capitalization. Something likely went wrong in transferring between filesystems that support case sensitivity and those that don't (i.e., they were downloaded onto a Windows or Mac computer). I'll re-upload the missing ones. Really, is missing? Could have sworn I'd seen it...

Also, this one is booty. The old one was better.

anc/gul/flow - since it appears I can't actually add the smilies, feel free to pull my admin access. nothing else I can really do here.

Yeah, I'll get right on that. Sorry, I was very busy today, didn't get a chance to take care of it. I'll add them, since I still can't figure out why poor Mrs. A. isn't able to see the smilies. I've gone over her account with a fine tooth comb, she should have access. I may have to break out my fine tuning hammer and see what's going down. In the meantime, I'll add the mad and rolleyes smilies.
