Saddam would've lopped Bush's lollipop head off it's scrawny stalk.
He grew up on the mean streets.
He killed when he was 7.
    Bush was a frat boy.
    No contest.

Saddam Hussein was a lawyer was he not?

And he was proven to be a coward. He let his sons fight to the death yet let himself be probed by a U.S. medic.

Precisely. One thought of that sword whooshing over his lil pumpkin head would have made him think twice about what he was doing. The people who start the wars should be the ones compelled to fight them.

Somebody didn't pay much attention to the Iraq war debate if he thinks the opposition was grounded in a simplistic war = bad thought process. But then, I'm sure your brain wasn't getting much blood flow in those days, what with the enormous erections for killing Arabs taking all resources. Invading Iraq was against our national interest. That doesn't mean all warfare is, or that we should just ignore global terrorism.

I'm glad that the drone program was moved from the CIA to the military. The military operates under stricter rules of engagement and has higher thresholds for positive identification. Not to mention they are governed by the Rules of Armed Conflict (commonly called the Geneva Conventions) which the CIA is not.

That said I'd like to see them put under SOCOM. Combined with traditional Special Operations Forces you've got a very flexible, low footprint and capable force.

It should also be noted that in general I believe the world is a better place with the U.S. takes a more active roll in it, and that includes militarily. The more options we have between 'do nothing' and 'outright invasion' the better.
