Anyway, congradulations! I do hear a lot of women using having kids as an excuse for being heavier than they want for the rest of their lives. My wife (and her sister) swear that having kids means you'll never get your original, younger weight back. I bring up the fact that military women crank out kids but still have to get back down to a certain weight. Their reply is "that's different, they have to to keep their job." Then I bring up celebrities (sane ones anyway) that get back to being hot a few months after childbirth, and they pull out excuse #2 - "they have personal trainers and chefs." Yes, there's no possible way a poor person can just get on the internet and get THE SAME INFORMATION about fitness and get to a grocery store and eat THE SAME FOODS the celebrities eat. Sorry ladies...it's called a lack of motivation, period.
I made sure to only gain 25 lbs with this one and did lots and lots of yoga and walking, since can only have natural births and can't have drugs it helps to do so anyway, because with my second I gained 80 lbs (was back to 145 in 6 months so this one took me longer. My only excuse is that its hard to find time to workout when you keep extremely darned busy). Do not know how people manage being over 200 lbs - my hips separated and it hurt to walk...still have problems to this day from it. They must be in chronic pain from the effects of the weight itself. The only problematic side effect is that I really hate clothes shopping and now that I'm below my initial weight my pants may have possibly fallen down a few times I had to make an adult snappi belt lol (the last time I bought jeans was 6 years ago. Should really bite the bullet and go buy some)
Ya!!!!!! Congrats! Im 7 months in, and have lost 32lb. but I was sick during pregnancy and couldnt work out.
A year out here. sniffle. I'm down to the weight of my wedding day woot. I haven't seen that in 10 years. And my hips didn't take 6 years to go back. Double woot. Sent from my PB99400 using Tapatalk
I just got weighed in today, and have lost 6 pounds this past month! With a pretty hefty drop in my pinch test too! Mostly in the legs (attributed to my new found passion with the stair climber ) Still not there yet though, that eclampsia kicked my ass in the weight division
Sadly I don't get much time to workout. Going from 430 am to 10pm and no workout (or even walk time) love that smiley btw lmao but I can sometimes squeeze in 10 minutes or so and sometimes the girls will give me a half hour for yoga or zumba. They also don't sleep much. It was easy with one kid, sort of easy with two but with 3 and between hockey, preschool and school activities I'm finding it almost impossible to lose weight.
Still. I should be able to make my goal of getting in shape for having the bedrooms pics done by the photographer for my hubby's birthday in May I'm hoping. Maybe she'll be REALLY good at hiding flaws.....
My ass is firm, full and awesome (the anti old man flat butt if you will) since I started really deadlifting (regular and Romanian) a lot. Of course only my wife gets to see it, but that's something I guess.
