Actually middle east Jews would be brown like middle east people. You are aware if Jesus existed he was a lot more brown than you. He would probably look like a Christian from the middle east. Yes, I am aware many European Jews are light skinned white, but those are not the only Jews in the world.

Look, if you are going to be in these conversations Mr history teacher, it might be good for you to brush up on some history and geography. This is biblical history here. The Jews came from northern Africa where they were enslaved. They traveled through the deserts of the middle east and would have been mating with the indigenous populations of those areas. They came from those populations. They would have been black and brown much like Muslims and other denizens of Africa and the middle east.

You are the one who is trying to whitewash brown people because you want to like some of them. Many middle east Jews in Israel are brown. Not all of them as there has been a lot of European Jews coming back to the middle east because of Zionism, but Jews come as brown as any Arab.

No, it is my claim that there are black Jews and that should be obvious through a basic understanding of biblical and real world history along with knowing where the middle east and Egypt are. In and of itself, I don't mind the idea of putting our embassy in Jerusalem and recognizing it as the capital. I don't see it as unethical or morally wrong.

It is, however, stupid to antagonize a whole bunch of countries for no particular reason and whn we don't stand to gain anything by it. And it damages the U.S.'s ability to act as a third-party arbitrator in Middle East disputes, which both makes peace harder to achieve and continues degrading our position on the world stage.

There's been no significant movement in the "peace process" for many years.

Ehud Barak put the best offer the Palestinians were ever going to get on the table, and Arafat balked, launching a wave of bus and restaurant bombings that made the Israelis start building walls. The last bargaining chip the Palestinians had was terrorism, and now they don't have that because of the walls. And those walls are the de facto borders.

Israel's in control of Jerusalem, a fact the Palestinians have no way to change. Since there is, really, no peace process, why shouldn't Israel consolidate its gains?
