sorry to hear about that. :/ it does suck. that's why I enjoy being single....sometimes. also why I tend to run off before i can get my heart involved to avoid it... unfortunately, sometimes my own heart runs too fast and by the time my head catches up I realize how much of an ass the guy really is, despite my feelings. it all sucks, relationships suck. specifically at this age. guys our age tend to be immature and only wanna fool around, guys older are still kinda in that stage, but theyre more cocky, self centered, and their partying is catching up with them. weeeeee...sorry...that was my own rant..not ALL guys are like that...but 90% of the guys ive talked to in the past almost year are just like that. this is why i enjoy being single.

In my experience, females are easily manipulated by guys with no particular redeeming qualities beyond an innate ability to mess with the female mind. I can't feel sorry for you, thinking that if you're even halfway attractive you probably won't even give the time of day to guys who would treat you better than you deserve, simply because they don't know how to properly engage you. What goes around comes around. Take your lumps and move on. Just remember that if you go for guys who talk a good game, you're probably more vested in the outcome than they are. unfortunately this is true more than i, as a woman would like to admit. and usually it stays that way until something traumatic happens .
i used to LOOOVE bad boys, still do, really, but after the last guy i was with i've chilled on that some. it's one thing to have the bad boy look, but once you hit the jail time, military discharges, screaming, making the girl uncomfortable just cause it's funny, and being drunk constantly, its no longer fun.

The hero of the story is a girl who writes for a hipster NYC magazine. She never has a boyfriend and always hangs out with her artist friend, Ricky. When they are talking about relationships, Ricky utters the gem "I don't like abusing women, but it beats the alternative." The context is that most women seem happiest when they are kept confused, unsure, and emotionally off balance. Show them a reliable guy with a steady job that worships the ground they walk on and they're not interested. (My favorite line from that book is "I don't know why I didn't tell her my real name. She just seemed a little crazier than I like them. And I like 'em pretty crazy." )
