Approximately 30 folks here use phones to access the board at least part of the time.

Shenanigans is not the reason people come here and does not take precedence over being able to use the facilities. O2C did the minimum to fix the problem and no one was punished for it...frankly I don't see what is left to "discuss" because when it comes down to board usability or something like this, usability wins out every time, be it for one user or 100.

And any time one of them crashes a browser, the same thing will happen and it will be remedied in favor of usability as soon as we know about it and O2C can deal with it.

There is some delicious irony in the fact that while complaining about Ancalagon posting in a way that requires them to make changes in their browsing habits (such as keeping a list of acronyms open in another tab) Zombie is also saying that other users should change their browsing habits to accommodate the way he wants to post.

How is it stupid to browse from a phone with images turned on? If you are on a fast data plan or are connected to a wifi network it is super fast to load threads and under normal circumstances not a problem at all.

FWIW I usually browse using the mobile skin because it makes it easier to click links without pressing the wrong thing, but that's just personal preference.

How about you just put Anc on ignore? You've suggested other people do that to you if your actions are effecting their ability to view the board, so why not take your own advice?

He sure does seem to be effecting your enjoyment of the board, to the point that you feel the need to engage in actions that effect the ability of others to view the board.

Given the end result, putting him on ignore seems prudent if you can't handle his posting style.

Anc...could you please make an effort when posting to make your points understandable to laymen without the need of a research paper to grasp it? It's not only the considerate thing to do, but don't you want all your audience to understand the information your providing? It would be appreciated...by many of us who are interested in a wide variety of threads but may not know much going in.

Zombie/Muad/Anyone else... Now you know there is an issue, please find different and creative ways to deal with your problems. Pyramiding images and extra large images in bulk will be dealt with if it happens again and causes usability problems. It would just be better all around if another tactic is used next time.

Everyone knows the deal, no one is really in trouble but there is really nothing new to discuss here, just going round and round so I think it's a good time to put this one to bed.
