I'm rather hoping that Europe (and the UK) make neutrality clear from the outset, and act as mediators rather than involved parties, not because China are anywhere near being blameless but because support for the US would embolden steps towards a hot exchange between nuclear powers and legitimise (again....) US military adventuring as being part of an international coalition. Plus we aren't the US's bitches.
