Someone is causing the server spikes

Disable it down to 40, 50, or so and see what happens.

Speaking of, I'd like to see that higher number come back if possible. I used to love 100 posts per page.

The PC Games thread has a ton of attached images, and I noticed a slowdown when I clicked on the thread to load it up. Coincidence or could this be the problem?

Another thought, are searchbots blocked from the gallery? If something has changed so that search engine crawlers are going through it that would be a big load.

I don't know how often it is accessed, but my Wordforge Inspirationals thread has over 60 relatively large pictures all stored in the Gallery.

The Texas Wordforge Meetup thread has a few pics in it.

And lots of people use the attachments feature in Green Room picture threads, I know I often do.

Oh, and check Talkahuano's Blue Room thread.....it is just full of huge pictures both attachments and offsite links.

Maybe this is why TrekBBS doesn't host any images other than the UGO banners . . .

I'm being shown that there's a seventh page of Happiebunnie's thread, but it won't let me see any posts there...
