Not to mention the 82% drop off in sales in the second week of UK availablity...

    Ho ho and indeed, ho.

If we call the PS3 a very lightly hued pachyderm, does that make it sound less painful to Sony fanbois, or just more patronising? :scruff:

I remember how totally excited I was about the imminent launch of the PS3. Then I got an Xbox 360 and promptly forgot all about Sony.

If I was ever going to get a PS3, the 20GB model would have been the one I bought. I could care less about wi-fi in my gaming machine and since you can put any size HD you want in it, why do I need to start with a 60GB?

Oh well. Like I was going to get the inferior version anyways. Then I might as well just get a 360. D'OH! I kid!

Yeah, from what I remember, there wasn't a whole lot of demand for the 20 GB version.

Which reminds me of something else I'd like to rant about...

Saving your games on the hard drive, whether it be Sony Microsoft, or whatever...suxxx!

If you want to play your game at a friend's house, you have to bring that whole damn thing! At least with a memory card, you could slip it into your pocket, bring the CD, and continue from where you left off. Not so with these new systems where the hard drive stores all the game saves.

Bring back the memory card I say.

They got rid of them in the new systems?
    Stupid move.
At least have a UBS flashdrive support.

I've been enjoying playing Elder Scrolls: Oblivion on my PS3.

And the Blu-ray movies look fantastic.

No, I believe the PS3 has a spot for Flash memory and the 360 has memory card slots. The 360's HD also comes off with a push of a button, so you can take it anywhere you want.

And Sokar, I would.. if I knew any good games were actually coming to the PS3, that aren't coming to the 360..

My PS3 is getting a LOT of use.

But I haven't played any video games on it since the first day I got it. :D

They have 4 usb ports which are used for charging the sixaxis controllers but other usb items work with them as well, like a keyboard or a mouse...
USB drives work with them as well, so if you want to take a save game to a friends home you just copy it to a usb-stick and take that with you, then copy the safe-game to your friends hard-drive...
And the 60GB version has 3 slots for 3 different memory-cards:
SD, Compact Flash and Pro Duo which also can be used in the same way as the Usb if you and your friend both have a 60GB version...
    A 64mb Xbox 360 memory unit costs €35, a 1GB usb-stick €10...
The internal hard-drive is a serial ATA drive which can be replaced very easily with for instance a a Fujitsu 2,5` 160GB SATA which costs €100...
You can also hook up an external hard-drive to the PS3 through the usb and it can also be used to store savegames...
    Those are local prices btw...

You can use a USB drive on a 360 as well...
