We moved up here last October. Its been a wild ride, would tell you all about it but it would just bore you. Its like a revamped version of Laura Ingalls Wilder. Lets just say it involved crazy landlords, moose, no water for months - moving a few times in an attempt to find liveable housing that didn't involve paying thousands of dollars in rent and we are currently living in a wild style junkyard way out in the boondocks that makes the Trailer Park Boys look positively the height of cleanliness Finally got internet so hoooray (for those of you who remember me from long long ago, I didn't exactly make a resounding impact, fairly quiet). Its being a little lonely since we only go into town every couple of weeks or so but that's okay, there's nothing like a good book. Do love the group of friends that I have made out here but they all..well..for lack of better phrasing believe that Star Trek or anything else fantasy/sci fi related is..evil... and as much the cherubs are great fun and I love them to death 3 years and 4 months does not exactly make for stimulating conversation. I'm DYING for a good chat with someone where it doesn't revolve around kids So would anybody like to do coffee And if you don't know where Dawson Creek is (no its not the movie one) pick up a map of BC and look waaaaaaaaaaaaaayyy up to the very start of the Alaska Highway.
I've been to Daswon Creek, driving down to the Lower 48 from Fairbanks in 1984. I saw the famous "License Plate" collection sign too (do they still have this up?) It is a very nice area IMO.
It a beautiful area!! Just very fluid and people are always leaving the area or something and so it is a little hard to make friends. I have never seen a licence plate display but then too have never looked for it. I will!!
