I'll be arsed to look it up (not even sure how far back the board goes with the issues it's been having) but unless you've changed your mind, you're clearly on record as poo-pooing the MCU.

Okay... I gave it quick whirl. Couldn't find anything directly posted by you, but other posters here have clearly noticed a pattern when it comes to your view of the MCU:

And then there's this crazy rant from Diacanu:

I'm often critical of it. As I am of other things, including Star Trek and so on. It doesn't mean that I hate it or won't ever watch it.

    Blog review.

Okay, here's how I see the "fixing the villains" thing.
I think it totally messed with the original films in ways we may never get to see.
    BUT!
The films as we remember them are still there as alternate-alternate universes.

As for the "is there evidence of Peter?" question, I think it's just memories that's wiped, and the physical evidence would be blocked from as-it-happens memory like Westworld.
The whole "this doesn't look like anything" thing.
If physical evidence were being tidied up, that would paradox a lot of things that happened in the flick.
BUT, the Mysterio footage that caused all this would have to be forgotten for the final Daily Bugle clip to play out the way it does.
So, Westworld style block splits the difference.

That movie was nonsensical and is only well regarded because it told you how to feel over and over again. No seriously. Think about the plot of the movie. Justify it. Go on. You can’t. It can’t be done.

I demand more realism in my movies about mutant boys in spandex fighting super-villains.

I know Peter was busy being dust when the rest of the Avengers were figuring out how time travel works, but you'd think that a smart guy like Peter would understand and respect the concept of not fucking around with time. Once he finds out from that Norman and Otto are from the past and that they died years earlier, he should know that trying to change their fates is a terrible (not to mention pointless) idea.

Don't even get me started on the whole "Why didn't Strange just make Thanos (or everyone) forget about infinity stones" angle.

In all fairness, even stories with the most far-fetched premises still require some sort of internal logic if they want to be "believable."

The whole risk with time travel was potentially creating branching paths that prevent you helping the original. He was already dealing with different universes here.

Stranges powers might be restricted to our planetary neighbourhood, perhaps Starlord will come back to Earth at some point and ask the Avengers where Peter is.

Strange does a spell bringing in anyone who knows Peter Parker is Spiderman from other universes. Why are dead people coming through though? Moreover, why does "curing" the super villains ensure that when they go back they'll be alive? Like, think of how some of these people died. Suddenly being cured won't exactly help them will it? That's not explained and is purely hypothetical. It resulted in May's death. Go on. Explain that.

But that’s the plot of the movie except in the places where it was meant to be sad! That’s the film!

Reminds me of something I read in a book about screenplay writing. The author liked the Sean Connery/Donald Sutherland movie The Great Train Robbery, but couldn't understand why Connery's character had to climb along the top of a moving train in one sequence. It seemed to him that Connery's character could've accomplished what he needed much more quickly by simply walking through the train. Feeling he must've missed something, he wrote to the film's director, the noted writer Michael Crichton, and asked why the character needed to do this. He actually got a response that said, in effect, "it's just a movie."

"SPIDER-MAN NO WAY HOME" is a GREAT EXCITING movie.

I recommend that any Wordforgers who haven't seen "SPIDER-MAN NO WAY HOME" yet go see it in the theater before it disappears from movie screens.

It's definitely a see in the theater movie.

Y'know, I think my favorite Spidey costume is the only one that's not in this movie, and it's the Andrew Garfield "Amazing Spider-Man 1" costume.
I like the way the eye pieces look, and the way the webbing is molded into the rubber like the lines on a basketball.
    That looks cool as shit.
We'll never see that one again.
    :sigh:

I liked that one okay. The colors, texture, and mask/eyes are all good. I liked the subtle redesign and accents. And I liked the "flash" from his webshooters.

But I never liked the goddamned running shoes integrated into the boots. :yuck:
