Troi gave us some pokies once too.
Are we sure these are a real actress' nippies, and not Klingon latex fakes?

Just imagine how sensitive people in the star trek world's skin must be, anything below 1000 super plush synthetic thread count must feel like sandpaper to them.

Just so you know, that is side boob, not nipples. One would think I would not have to explain that. Please do spend a couple of bucks and pickup a playbook magazine and ask your mom to tell you what parts are what so you do not embarrass yourself on the internet again.

I hear they use holographic sheets where the photons are buffered a billion times to make them as soft as air. Oh wait, air would be composed of molecules much larger than a photon. Sorry about that.

Heavily-makeuped nipples in a show that's exclusively available on the internet? This is an outrage!

How does that happen? Unless humans and Klingons are the same species (or very near), that should be impossible. A human being would have better luck breeding with an iguana.

Wasn't there a TNG episode that suggested that most of the sentient species in the galaxy came from a DNA seeding program?

We've seen boobs, or at least structures that resemble boobs, but they could actually be detachable organic grenades in female Klingons to aid in mating rituals (L'Rell obviously doesn't need hers to subdue Tyler). ;)

Nips, OTOH, suggest suckling. Though I'm going with they're the grenade pins.

Yes, but that was done so far back, it resulted in beings as different as Romulans (with copper[!]-based blood) and humans.

I've always assumed that people like Spock are the product of advanced genetic engineering, and that they aren't conceived "the old-fashioned way," but in a lab.

Of course, there was Tom and Be'lanna on Voyager, who conceived a child naturally. But I discount that because that show sucked. :diacanu:

I think it's probably best not to think too hard about how the various species on Star Trek are so human-like.

Actually, the VOY ep would have been instructive for you, since the topic of some genetic manipulation was raised (and Be'lanna ran it too far because of her own childhood bullying experiences as a "halfbreed" until Tom snapped her out of it). I think Bashir also mentioned to Dax the genetic issues that would need addressing for her and Worf to conceive, just prior to her death. At the time of Spock, it probably was a major issue, but by TNG most of the issues were worked out and basically no more invasive than the usual prenatal care.

In the case of L'Rell/Tyler, I don't think she's after kids so even if the Tyler=Voq theories are true she can still boff him, there's just no danger of pregnancy. Though Lorca's "didn't think we had the right number of organs" line complicates that too, if it isn't just cheap sexual innuendo against an enemy race (like the old concept about Asian women having sideways twangs).
