That's pretty much it right there. They felt emboldened to bring a list of "demands". Extortion doesn't deserve a polite response.
OMG, people are free to make their own commentary on news articles! Will you be sending ambassadors to the Help Desk to get their minds right?
Yes, and I am allowed to make commentary on their commentary. If you are one of the people who read this article and saw that the government of Sweden is actually doing the sensible thing (listening to what these guys have to say and then letting them know that the laws in Sweden will not be changed to suit them) then my post didn't even apply to you.
If you already know this... ...isn't this... ...just doing a disservice to all concerned, not to mention a huge waste of everyone's time
Why are they even listening to the muslim ambassadors in the first place? When they say they want the laws changed to protect Mohammed's rpe, I'd just laugh until they left my office.
Sorry - I misread this sentence. But I still stand by my one statement. If the Muslims can demand that Sweden make concessions for their faith then I want the Muslim countries to make concessions for Christians in their countries. Think they'll do it? Well, will they? In the spirit of appeasement?
