How does this stand? Under what grounds? Was he flaming? Was he trolling? Is there some new unwritten rule that states we must be civil and courteous to the moderators now?

So. What is the lesson we keep learning? Heavy-handed moderating sucks huge cock. It sucked at TBBS. It sucks here. It sucks when Clyde moves threads to other forums and it sucked that Nick kept moving it back. And it sucks that Tamar stomped in on top of everything else and started handing out warnings. Moderation is best in moderation.

I got warned for calling Tasvir Stumpy in MC with a rep comment once.

Unless that post was made in the RR, that's a clear-cut flame, and I'm sure Nick knew that.

But nick thought he was above the rules... which was part of the problem in the beginning.

This thread is pointless and should be locked. The issue was answered in the thread in question, before this thread was started.

If it's a flame, half the people in this thread should be warned if not banned outright for the things that have gone on in this forum.

Paladian being a whiny mod warned me for less then that. (a warning that still hasn't been revoked even though it is wrong) Hell he gave a friendly because someone dared called him a psycho.

That is an outright flame by any standard. Under Paladians wishy washy limp wristed standard it would probably rate the death penalty but fortunately all he got was a warning.

It's simply pointing out that if I could get warned for a smiley and someone else could get a friendly for saying "psycho" for a decision a weak thin-skin mod made in MC then saying "fuck you" sure as hell can garner a warning.

In this case Nick broke a long standing rule. It was an obvious flame one fully deserving of a warning.

To the best of my knowledge mods can be warned, it is just admins who cannot due to the way the board software is built.
