I just closed the "Thread Closings" thread in the HD. Seemed to be over with. We can always re-open should it be necessary.

Doesn't closing a thread about closing threads cause a feedback loop, resulting in the thread in question achieving infinite mass within 48 hours?

No, it just guarantees that within a few hours someone will start a new thread, much better to let it burn itself out rather than try to blow the flames out only to fan them up again.

Good call. I probably would have closed it when I saw it, too.

I know it wasn't regular policy, but things were so volitile I felt letting it go and letting frustrations burn out would just end everything sooner and with less aggravation than if I warned everyone and shut it too soon.
