We've had :sarek: since almost the beginning.

Personally, I'd rather we have neither than both.

Right, I've done it myself. Three smilies have been removed.

I want the expression on Wordforge to be as free as possible, but one thing I won't tolerate is blatant racism.

^You know as soon as this thread is released, or even sooner, that's going to come back and bite you in the ass. People will start simply posting them inline with the IMG tag. Now I can certainly see the value in saying you won't endorse blatant racism by having racist smilies hosted here, but saying you won't tolerate it will kick up an epic shitstorm, especially if you follow through on that at all.

Possibly. But I've made the statement before without causing a ruckus.

Whoops...I didn't see this thread. I was in the Red Room, but I also had five other windows open and Zel was home so I wasn't as focused on the 'net stuff as I usually am.

    Sorry about that.

On a personal note...this is incredibly silly and hypocritical when people can throw around anything they want in the name of "free speech" but you need to censor harmless smilies? :jayzus:

There is a difference between allowing people to post certain things, and giving them those words in the first place.

The users remain free to be every bit as childish and vile as they were before. I'm just not stocking ammo for them.
