Seems a few people want this. I've read up on the install, looks pretty straight forward. But I've also heard add-ons can create problems. Is this true? If so, what kind of problems? Is it worth doing anyway, as it's a fairly common access method?

My view is that we should make the board as accessible as possible. This includes different skins for people with visual issues, cross-platform functionality, etc. Accessibility is more important than bells and whistles, so I want to know whether it will trash the board. If not, I'm happy to do the install.

Installing Tapatalk was a piece of cake when I did it.

Looks like somebody with server upload access needs to do this. Alternatively, somebody with access can hand me the keys, and I can do it, as it looks quite easy to do.

    I've installed Tapatalk.
I've also installed the Spoiler tag add-on. It failed to work as advertised.
So, I went with, and installed gul's suggested option. It kind of works, but I'm having trouble with its tendency not to hide the spoiler, followed by it's ejection of you into the main forum, so I'm still working on it.

Hey gul, I installed everything. I don't know if Tapatalk is working, since I have nothing that uses it.
I've also installed XenFacil's Spoiler, but it didn't work, so it's disabled for the moment. I installed your suggestion, and it almost works, but it still has flaws.
I've uploaded them to the server already, but here are the files anyway if you want to give it a shot. It seems that Xenforo 1.2 (our version) doesn't like a lot of add-ons, especially the spoiler add-ons. As for Tapatalk, it probably works, though on the Xenforo community page they're talking about some sweeping changes involving Tapatalk and Xenforo in the future. Honestly, we already have Responsive that comes with Xenforo 1.2, and I don't think Tapatalk will add any benefit, especially since it will start having ads embedded between threads for its users.

Again, though, here are the files if you need them, they have already been uploaded to the server, and all you need to do is upload the .xml files if you want to try to reinstall and poke at it.
So here is the zip files for "Spoiler" (your suggestion), XenFacil Spoiler "lmsSpoiler" (my suggestion), and Tapatalk.

Nope. It's still bombing out. Says it can't connect to the server

The Tapatalk registration information needs changed. Whomever set up the Tapatalk options when WF was on vBulletin will have to modify that information on Tapatalk's website. Once that happens, that should solve the problem.

Tapatalk is saying the plug-in is not installed or is installed incorrectly. The registration is pointing to http://www.wordforge.net, which is what it should be. Is the mobiquo package installed on the new server?

Formerly known as Push Key. This key is now required for secure connection between your community and our server. Features such as Push Notification and Single Sign-On requires this key to work. To use this key, copy and paste to 'Tapatalk API Key' field (or 'Push Notification Key', depends on your forum system and version) found in your forum AdminCP Tapatalk Settings. (Skip this step if your forum system is Kunena, Vanilla, bbPress or WBB)

Done. I've installed the (updated) Tapatalk 1.9 (which works with Xenforo 1.2), and have added the API key.

The Tapatalk site is still showing us with version XF10_1.8.2. Has it just not caught up yet?

Yeah, it hasn't caught up. The version we have is 1.9.
As an aside, I changed the WF Tapatalk logo to something a little more updated.

I see the change. I am now getting this error message:

"Tapatalk add-on file 'addon-tampatalk.xml' was not imported. It may affect some app features in the forum. Please inform the forum admin to complete the installation."

    So some progress.

Except that the add-on "addon-tapatalk.xml" file was imported. It had to be to properly install it. When installing any add-on, the .xml file has to be imported to make it work. I'll look into this and see why it's giving you that kind of error message.

Well, I've gone over everything, and it all seems to be installed correctly. I'm not sure why you're getting that message, Frontline.

I got the prompt, but I also got the error @frontline did. I can get to posts if I go through the directory/forum listing, but unread, et al aren't showing.
