They're showing a lot of these commercials in Arizona now.

In our case, it's, "Tell Congressman Harry Mitchell to do his job and pass the Senate's version of the Terror Surveilance Bill to keep our country safe."

Are these commercials showing in your area?

I'm having a hard time taking these seriously since they're using the same narrator who did the Miller High Life commercials. I keep thinking about how funny those "he's living the high life" commercials were instead of the message in these ads.

No, but I'd be pretty angry if they did.

Right, because not only do we need to make it legal to spy on Americans without warrants--and make no mistake about it: FISA already makes it so absurdly easy to legally spy on foreign terrorists that this current fight really is all about spying on Americans--we need to immunize the telecom companies that helped our government spy on Americans without warrants when spying on Americans without warrants was clearly illegal.

Make no mistake about it: the Senate bill is an act of revolution that tears the Fourth Amendment to itty-bitty shreds that can't ever be put back together again; it's not an act of law.

Christ, like it's a Congressman's job to just mindlessly pass anything that comes in front of him whether or not he and his constituents agree or disagree with it.

It's like saying it's a jury's duty to find the defendant guilty.
