The old saying about how a grand jury will indict a ham sandwich if a prosecutor wants it to bears repeating here. That said, it's unfortunate that charges that look on their face to be insubstantial are filed while there likely will be no investigation into the possibility of misconduct on various grounds, particularly if Bush issues various pardons.
This indictment is more than just a bit of a joke. Sadly, it will discredit any legitimate indictment that follows.
I wonder if Bush could possibley pardon as many people as Clinton did. I don't think Bush knows as many people as Clinton pardoned!
Bush wouldn't have the power to pardon in a state case in any event. Not that he'll need it for this joke.
