If someone is out of 'phase' with this reality, why would there even be an Enterprise there? Or, how could they hear and see other people, yet the reverse isn't true? I could see everything gradually re-emerging when they were slowly brought back into 'phase'. But wouldn't you figure how Ro and Geordi showed back up to other people when Data found the technobabble explanation and brought them back into phase, is how other people would show back up to them?

Suspending disbelief is the only option!!!
