To whomever sent me the heads up, thank you. However, it listed you as "Unknown Sender" so I couldn't reply to it.

It was Bear...he sent it via some web service because he was afraid you wouldn't even read a message from him.

I'll deal with Nick and that mess tomorrow. I've driven 2,000 miles in four days. I've spent the last 14 hours behind the wheel except for when I was pumping gas or pissing. I'm beyond exhausted even after three quadruple Cafe Mochas since 0900 this morning and at least six Mountain Dews.

However, I understand you have an issue. What can I do to support you and Zel during this time? Do you need anything, anything at all? Please let me know via PM.

Jesus...you should get some sleep!! :mrsa:

Given how dire that sounded, I guess I best mention that Elwood is referencing the fact that my father had a heart attack Sunday...it's not directly me or anything.

Still, if my presence gets erratic here it will most likely be related to this family crisis.

I still don't know much myself, except that so far he is alive and was moved to Maine Medical Center (in the middle of the board drama, no less).

Thanks Elwood...I know you mean every word and I love you for it.

For some reason, I find this phrasing really hilarious, as if to say, "dammit, what's with this guy having a heart attack? I'm in the middle of a :shitstorm: here." Of course, I might be finding it funny because it's nearly 3 AM. WhyTF am I still up? Guess I should do something about that.

Hope your dad ends up fine, Tamar.

What are you even doing here Tamar? Don't worry about a crappy little piece of board drama when there are more important things.

Hope everything turns out ok. :(

    Well.

My father basically had a massive coronary, and if it wasn't for the fast action of the person he was with, he would be dead now.

But he was gotten to the ER of the local hospital in what is known at the "Golden Hour" and since Steve (the person Dad was with) called the hospital to tell them he was bringing a 71 year old man with severe chest pain in, they were waiting for him at the door and had everything ready to work on him. They got him on clot busters and stabilized and then sent to the more advanced Maine Med in pretty short order.

He is still listed in critical condition, but he has been awake and in good spirits despite pain and fun activities like angiograms. His prognosis is very good but guarded. He is expected to be in the hospital until Friday at least.

If I never hear the word "clot" again it will be too soon. :(

Thanks for the well wishes, it does mean a lot. :mrsa:

Ironically, he's in the same room I was in, in 2002. :soma:

I was going to post in the thread, but decided I'd better keep it in here for now. I totally disagree: the only thing I'd concede is that Clyde is more diligent than the rest of us when it comes to moving posts. Which is more of a wake-up call to the rest of us. IMHO.

I did. I fell asleep mid-sentence when you needed someone to talk to. I know I'm sorry won't cut it. I'm madder at myself than you could ever be.

However, the news about your father is most pleasing to me. I'm very glad to hear about his prognosis. :D

I'm not mad at you in the least, Elwood! :mrsa:

And I agree with Linda...grumbling of the lazy troops aside, Clyde is more than earning his pay. We should all be moving threads in the wrong place when we see them, not just him.

Maybe someday it will penetrate WF has more than one room. :garamet:
