I must have missed caterpillars needing some kind of elective surgery "affirming care" to become a butterfly. Maybe we had different biology textbooks.
Also, being a butterfly is an objectiely true state that is not dependent on anyone's feeeeeeeelings.
Everyone’s existence is an objectively true state. And, some of us don’t give a fuck how other people think we should exist.
Unless they're a cat in a box with a radioactive isotope. I do find it sad that Schrodinger only gave us the "cat is alive/cat is dead" option and not "cat gains superpowers and fights crime".
I’m still pissed I didn’t get superpowers either of the two times I’ve had a …cat scan(?). Which one is the one where the bed slides into a giant magnetic X-ray and the technician has to talk to you through speakers?
Some guy says "that colorful insect is called a butterfly, I decided," no one cares enough to call it something else even though it's not a fly and not made of butter, and suddenly it's objective truth? Well, I've decided "daytime moth" is a better name. If you want to keep calling them butterflies, that's fine, but if you're gonna be all "daytime moths aren't a thing and I'm not obligated to help you indulge in your fantasy," well, that would be annoying and I'd prefer if you didn't.
Existence? Yes. State of being that's in denial of reality? No. A dude putting on a dress in no meaningful way compares to a caterpiller becoming a butterfly. It's all make-believe, which is perfectly fine until you go demanding anyone play along.
Just because I didn’t initiate any confrontation, nor did I engage when others did, doeesn’t mean shit wasn’t said to me just because I happened to be in their line of sight. People are assholes. Not just the ones who refuse to be stepped on.
If "stepped on" means "hearing words you don't like," your recourse is to focus your attention elsewhere.
Stop. You’re wrong here. People are assholes. It’s not the fault of the victim if someone wants to act like an asshole.
