There is a HUGE fucking difference between "I'm powerless. There is absolutely nothing I can do about it. " and "Other people have it easier, so I refuse to try."

The neighbor in the second pic that turned out to be successful, still worked 3 times harder than the slacker who was born where the other guy busted his ass to get to.

I missed that in the meme. I only saw the differences.

But, yes, activists would label those as “victim” and/or “oppressor”. That doesn’t change the discrepancy. Victims can very well turn their ‘fortune’. Oppressors can fall from a position of authority.

Just because Life isn’t fair doesn’t mean we have to make things harder for those who are at a disadvantage. If someone wants help and I’m in a position to help, I see no reason not to.

I think it's simply more about likelihood of outcomes between those born on third base and those who might not even get a chance to bat.
