they make such a stink about dead people being on voters' lists then write in dead guys as candidates? even teh sane ones are fuckin' nuts.
On the flip side, only one of those places looks like it could be refitted into a base for paranormal exterminators.
That's your propaganda. Now address the reality, where two neighbors from that second picture achieve different outcomes based on their individual conduct. There is a HUGE fucking difference between "I'm powerless. There is absolutely nothing I can do about it. " and "Other people have it easier, so I refuse to try."
Absolutely there is a difference. … but, then, there is also a difference between the pics. The neighbor in the second pic that turned out to be successful, still worked 3 times harder than the slacker who was born where the other guy busted his ass to get to.
I missed that in the meme. I only saw the differences. But, yes, activists would label those as “victim” and/or “oppressor”. That doesn’t change the discrepancy. Victims can very well turn their ‘fortune’. Oppressors can fall from a position of authority. Just because Life isn’t fair doesn’t mean we have to make things harder for those who are at a disadvantage. If someone wants help and I’m in a position to help, I see no reason not to.
I think it's simply more about likelihood of outcomes between those born on third base and those who might not even get a chance to bat. put another way, some folks have to start from the beginning if they get hit, others have multiple shields and can save during encounters... the whole victim/oppressor thing doesn't come into play, at least not in a spy vs spy sort of caricature. Unless that's somehow the estate of the slumlord that owns the place on the right and he's sent in a bunch of thugs to carry out an illegal eviction after deciding on a 100% rent increase? Y'know... the myth of class mobility in the "developed" world. But yeah, see the sig line about the obligation to help if one has the means. (Also, kudos on the hair split of someone wanting the help. That's one of the boilerplate conditions we work with)
