I voted for Obama in 2008 and refused to do it in 2012 because he stabbed everyone in the back by pre-emptively taking single payer off the table before they even started negotiating the health care bill. He also pre-emptively told the drug companies that he wouldn't do anything to contain drug prices.

And we would have still been stuck with Trump who would have made the nothing we had even worse.

My point is that catering to special interest is just the price of playing politics to get some real change. Anyone who thinks there's such a thing as pure anything in the world that isn't baby animal videos is a Tumblr Justice Warrior or too stupid to live. Which is about the same damn thing these days, but all the fandom activity these days is concentrated there.
