The truth is also that a modern economy transitioning from manufacturing to services-based will need a lot more 'nail polishers' to buff the helmets of others.
Yea ..., now, explain why the average executive pay has increased more than 400% in the last 40 years, but the average worker pay has only increased 10% in that same time frame. Then explain why our 1980 counterpart had a 40% higher purchasing power than we do now.
