Now, I'm not one for conspiracy theories or paranoia, but this little gem turned out to be actually true! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Program_Office Doesn't this seem... extralegal to anyone? Does anyone else see the problems inherent in giving unknown persons dictatorial power in a time of confusion and chaos? I mean, how would the survivors know those people were in charge? Brute force?
The plan calls for pre-selected people who are not in the government to take over the Presidency and have the power to dissolve the Congress. That's okay? This is from CNN in 1991: [yt=Video]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgpgJPxenFo[/yt] I remind all of you that none of this is actual law; Reagan signed an executive order and dictated this from on high. I guess that's why it sticks in my craw; because I do see the practical benefit of having this program.
A contingency plan is considered a shadow government? Anyway, if people are really interested in whose pulling the strings behind the scenes....I suggest checking out the Bilderberg group and the Secretary of State project.
