    I was there....

(Activates the Wayback Machine - opening a doorway to a moonlit mountaintop, where a small circle of warriors are standing, holding torches. They are wearing bloody armor, are carrying swords, are dirty and bedraggled from [-]massacring[/-] battling with a bunch of Trekkie whiners who couldn't handle a free-fire TNZ... )

Cassandra: One land, one board! (draws sword)
Storm: We are victorious! We have a free board once more!
Diacanu: Yeah, by Jesus Tap-Dancing Christ, we have done it!
Phantom: Silence! Be still! That's it... and look upon this moment. Savor it! Rejoice with great gladness! Great gladness! Remember it always, for you are joined by it. You are One, under the stars. Remember it well, then... this night, this great victory. So that in the years ahead, you can say, 'I was there that night, with Cassandra, the Queen!' For it is the doom of men that they forget. *

*or something like that. I forgot how it went exactly...

    Nice. :techman:

Though, I do take umbridge at my being left out of the story... I had even less of a life back then, and I spent 42 hours fighting with the TBBS staff and Lisa in the build up to the founding of WF... :borg:

First wave, though I nearly missed it because I was on one of my Internet breaks. That, and I was drifting more toward Troll Kingdom (which was a better place pre-Wordforge). I came back to find a thread by Bulldog announcing that he was leaving for Wordforge. That peaked my interest, but I wasn't completely up to speed on the TNZ problems, so I posted a should I stay or should I go thread. Mewa posted "get your ass to Wordforge" and that was the end of that.

What followed was quite a bit of blatant QSF and MA trolling, a permaban, and then an eventual reinstatement during the T'Bonz amnesty. But now, I rarely feel the need to post there.

Nah, that can't be right... it was Storm who said Jesus Tap-Dancing Christ.

I voted yes, but to be honest it's more of a 'sort of', because I'd only just started posting in TNZ and moved over because all the people that made me laugh or :wtf: most were talking about moving.

edit: I seem to remember somebody - ecky or Reno, I think, starting a Yahoo group just before Wordforge.1 got going...

I was the first person who signed up on April Fool's day 2004.

This place often makes me wonder if that was a sign...;)

I voted yes, even though due to the fact I was living at the beach at the time I had no internet and so came a week or so late.

Been here ever since, well just look under the Doctor. Took a small break from TMZ, came back & noticed that only the pussies were still posting. Saw a link in an old post & followed it here. Have never gone back.

Came over within a couple of days after Cass started the original WF (Storm or Elwood PMd me over at TBBS to tell me about it).
