There is no such thing as "Christian Sharia Law". And Arkansas and Mississippi are as much part of the United States as New York City and southern California.
But to a lot of us the difference between fundamentalists in either camp is merely one of what they can get away with, which is one of many reasons to keep separation of church and state.
As a former Dominionist (Evangelical Pentecostal, baby!) I do remember my pastors talking about how we had to make America God's country. The flag in the church hung above the cross. Troops were lionized as doing God's work. There are plenty of Christian militants who would absolutely advocate for a world that we see in science fiction like Handmaid's Tale. Those people do exist, and many of them do claim to be Christians. Don't let anyone tell you it's not a thing, because it was then, and I can only imagine how much worse it has become under Donald Trump.
In other words you "infer" what fundamentalists must really want because that is what you fear they want. Correct?
Which means the whistleblower lied on the form which is punishable by a fine up to $10,000 and/or five years in prison. That part is where you sign the form and attest to its truthfulness.
What was so awesome about a woman who blew a married man in his office and then sold the story for money?
We've covered this enough times now that you must either be actively lying, or suffering from early onset Alzheimer's. Sharia law basically just means law with a religious basis. While it's generally used to refer to Islamic sharia law, it can equally be used to apply to laws based on the bible.
And what laws based on the New Testament could be implemented in American law? Remember to be "Christian" it can only be based in the New Testament.
You probably don’t keep up with her on Twitter, or have seen her TED talk. She’s a rather intelligent, kind hearted woman who got a lot of shit for doing something most men like. https://www.ted.com/talks/monica_lewinsky_the_price_of_shame/up-next?language=en
The term Sharia comes from an Arabic word meaning “path to the water,” which reflects the concept that Sharia is divine guidance drawn mainly from the Qur’an and Sunnah (teachings and guidance of Prophet Muhammad) for the purpose of helping humanity draw close to God and live in kindness and justice with His Creation. The term Sharia is used by Muslims to refer to the values, code of conduct, and religious commandments or sacred laws which provide them with guidance in various aspects of life. While Sharia is often translated as “Islamic law,” a more accurate term for “Islamic law” in Arabic is fiqh, which refers to the human endeavor to interpret and apply Sharia. If you want to parse the definition in order to change it to mean something completely different, go ahead. But Sharia Law clearly refers to enforcement of the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad, nothing more. We already have groups in America that live by a very strict and controversial interpretations of the scriptures. They are called CULTS.
But Christ, himself, referenced the Old Testament all the time. I mean he was a frickin' Rabbi. Why would he do that if none of it mattered anymore?
No it wasn't. You answered a question I didn't ask. I didn't ask why the OT is irrelevant. I asked why Christ constantly referenced the Old Testament.
I don't do Twitter. Already have Facebook for my social media fix. And she got shit because she was a twenty year old screwing around with another woman's husband. How can you respect someone who does that? That is the classic nightmare scenario for older women. ie: losing husband to a younger woman. If she didn't want "shit" for it, she should have kept her mouth shut. Instead, she blabs to a coworker and even presents the months old semen stained dress as evidence. No person does that unless they are a.) psycho or b.) intending to go public at a later time, which means she knew what she was doing. I don't doubt her intelligence because you have to be a real conniving opportunist in order to do something like that. She got her 15 minutes of fame and a nice payday out of the ordeal. But she also has to live with the fact that she is only famous because she screwed the President of the United States. She can't expect to do something like that without consequences.
